How do we Heal?

How We Heal

The fascinating thing about healing is how ordinary it is. All people, indeed all organisms, are equipped with a fabulous capability to self-detect and self-heal all manner of injury and illness. It sometimes seems miraculous when people self-heal mainly because we simply didn’t expect it.

We lose our ability to heal ourselves when we are overwhelmed in some fashion. As an example, if we are exposed to genuinely toxic substances, or pathogenic organisms, over exercise, receive a physical injury, eat poor quality food, drink impure water and any number of other stress challenges, we overwhelm our body mind’s ability to heal itself – and become ill.

In most cases, though we are uncomfortable in the short run, our body mind discovers what the problem is and goes about the business of fixing it without our involvement or knowledge.

Unfortunately, there has been an explosion in chronic illnesses and disorders over the last 40 years which do not seem to yield to either standard medical therapy or our body mind’s innate ability to self-heal. This phenomenon is mainly attributable to escalating exposure to unhealthy belief systems and emotions which we are unable to balance due to their exponential growth in our modern society of sensory and emotional overload.

Both emotional imbalance and unhealthy belief systems are invariably at the core of all chronic illness from which human beings suffer. Indeed, there is a large body of evidence which shows a strong correlation between the consciousness of the body mind and your health. This evidence generally does not lead to blockbuster drugs or billion-dollar profits so there is a tendency to not emphasize this mechanism in health care.

It has been my observation that balancing consciousness, emotions, and belief systems is fundamental to healing chronic disease. I have seen substantial improvement or reversal of viral infections, musculoskeletal injuries including arthritis and scoliosis, mental emotional distress, digestive diseases, allergies, chronic fatigue, and pain from all sources in my BodyTalk clinic.

If you suffer from a chronic ailment which does not seem to yield to standard medical therapy, I invite you to consider BodyTalk. Body talk has the ability to balance your body mind and allow you to get back on top of your innate ability to heal. BodyTalk is useful as a stand-alone therapy or to improve the efficacy of standard medical therapy.

Whether you are interested in an addition to your good health regimen, or recovery from a chronic illness, BodyTalk is a powerful way to leverage your innate ability to self-heal and live a healthy, productive life.
